This vulturine guineafowl was taken in Samburu. These special birds display a huge variety of patterns and colours in array of dots and stripes to the high contrast black and white with the vivid blues and reds adding to the visual fireworks. I always wanted to get a frontal shot from a low angle to show the beauty in one photograph. As they can be quite skittish, it is not an easy task, but eventually I caught one that was running away from another guineafowl chasing him. With the feathers all sprawled out on full display, I finally got the shot I was after.
