There is no place like the Masai Mara to watch hyenas. Their large family groups roam the wide grasslands even during day time. During hot days, you find them sitting in water puddles and riverbeds to find shelter from the heat. Early mornings provide long shadows and beautiful soft side light to play with low-key images. They also provide you the best chance to catch them while active or maybe even on a kill of their own.
