Ross Hoddinott

Ross Hoddinott has had a lifelong passion and fascination for the natural world. As a kid, he would spend hours peering into ponds and observing the wildlife close to his parent’s home in rural north Cornwall, South West England. His parents introduced him to photography at an early age and he was quickly bitten by the photography bug. After winning a number of photography awards, including BBC Countryfile and Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Ross decided to pursue a career in photography and turned professional in his late teens.

Ross is now among the UK’s leading outdoor photographers. Best known for his atmospheric landscape images and intimate close-up images of nature, Ross has been a full-time professional since 1997, supplying photographs and undertaking commissions for a wide variety of clients Worldwide. He is a regular contributor to the UK photo press and has written several best-selling photography books for Ammonite Press, including Digital Macro & Close-up Photography, The Art of Landscape Photography, and 52 Assignments: Nature Photography (with Ben Hall).

Ross is a multi-award winning photographer in Wildlife Photographer of the Year, The British Wildlife Photography Awards (BWPA) and International Garden Photographer of the Year. He is an Ambassador for Manfrotto, A Nikon Alumni, a LEE Filters Master and also a global Icon for F-Stop Gear.

Ross lives in Cornwall with his wife Felicity and three gorgeous children. He is passionate about conservation and highlighting the beauty of miniature things for others to enjoy and appreciate.
